For more than 30 years, I worked inside one of the UK’s leading leasing funder/brokers. I sat on the other side of the table and worked closely with sales organisations who used leasing as a powerful tool. A tool that helped them sell more equipment, increase order values, upsell enhancements and build long-term customer relationships.
Leasing is clever. Structured well, it works for everyone. But it is also commercially sophisticated.
Behind every agreement are yield calculations, risk margins, insurance structures, upgrade cycles and renewal strategies. While customers only saw the monthly payment, I saw the mechanics behind it.
Today, I work exclusively for end-user businesses.
My role is simple: to help you understand exactly what you’re signing, what you’re paying for and where there may be room for improvement. I review agreements, identify unnecessary costs, highlight restrictive clauses and look for opportunities to renegotiate or restructure, always professionally and constructively.
The leasing industry is highly regulated and many providers operate with integrity. But it is complex. And complexity can sometimes work against the uninitiated. My job is to level the playing field.
